Advisory Board R. James Woolsey R. James Woolsey is a Venture Partner with VantagePoint Venture Partners. Mr. Woolsey also currently: is the Annenberg Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University; chairs the Strategic Advisory Group of the Washington, D.C.private equity fund, Paladin Capital Group; is a Senior Executive Advisor to the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton; and is Of Counsel to the Washington, D.C. office of the Boston-based law firm, Goodwin Procter. In the above capacities he specializes in a range of alternative energy and security issues. Mr. Woolsey is also the Chairman of the Advisory Boards of the Clean Fuels Foundation and the New Uses Council, Chairman of the Board of Freedom House and serves on the National Commission on Energy Policy. During the 12 years he served in the U.S. Government Mr. Woolsey held Presidential appointments in two Democratic and two Republican administrations. He was Director of the CIA from 1993 to 1995. Robert McFarlane After a distinguished career of public service culminated in President Ronald Reagan's cabinet as his National Security Advisor, Robert McFarlane founded his own energy development company, Global Energy Investors LLC, sponsoring major international power projects in Brazil, Pakistan, the Philippines, and China. He has also served as a consultant to foreign governments on energy, infrastructure, and privatization policies. Apart from his business activities, Mr. McFarlane remains a respected figure in international affairs. He is frequently called upon to advise the U.S. and other governments, the U.S. Congress, and the news media. Prior to his career in the public sector, Mr. McFarlane saw extensive combat as a Marine Corps officer after graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy. Later he was chosen as an Olmsted Scholar and was awarded a Master's Degree in Strategic Studies from the Institut de Hautes Etudes Internationales in Geneva, Switzerland. Norman R. Augustine Mr. Augustine has decades of acclaimed private sector experience, including serving as the former President and CEO of Lockheed Martin, and honorable service to his country, including as Acting Secretary of the Army. He is a current or former member of the Board of Directors of ConocoPhillips, Black & Decker, Proctor & Gamble and Lockheed Martin, and of the Board of Trustees of Colonial Williamsburg. He is a Regent of the University System of Maryland, Trustee Emeritus of Johns Hopkins and a former member of the Board of Trustees of MIT and Princeton, his alma mater. He is an Advisory Board member to the Department of Homeland Security, was a member of the Hart/Rudman Commission on National Security, and has served for 16 years on the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. He has been presented the National Medal of Technology and received the Joint Chiefs of Staff Distinguished Public Service Award. He five times received the Department of Defense's Distinguished Service Medal. He co-authoredThe Defense Revolution and Shakespeare In Charge and is the author of Augustine's Laws and Augustine's Travels. He was selected by Who's Who in America and the Library of Congress as one of "Fifty Great Americans". He was Chairman and Principal Officer of the American Red Cross for nine years, Chairman of the National Academy of Engineering, President and Chairman of the Association of the United States Army, Chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association, and Chairman of the Defense Science Board. He is a former President of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Boy Scouts of America. |
