Careers Fermentation Division
The Fermentation Division involves in various
fermentation operations and process developments for the
production of fuels and specialty chemicals from both
traditional feedstocks and Lignocellulosic biomass using
GMO and non-GMO microbial strains, such as bacteria,
yeasts, and other exotic microbes. Key focus of this
division is to develop industrially applicable
fermentation processes
(batch/fed-batch/continuous/combinations), improve
microbial strains through adaptation or by other means,
fermentation kinetic, low cost nutrient formulations &
optimization, cost effective and industrially applicable
product recovery & purification process development.
This division closely works with the microbial division
as well as engineering division to optimize fermentation
parameters, HP requirement, and fermentation reactors
design and scale up.
